David F. Brown

David F. Brown graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1970
with a B.A. in English, and attended graduate school in education. Prior to
entering law school, David owned a custom furniture manufacturing business in
Massachusetts. He graduated from Peoples’ College of Law in Los Angeles in 1981,
and was admitted to the California Bar that year. David is admitted to practice
in all of the courts of the State of California and all of the Federal District
Courts in the State of California.
Prior to coming to Spierer, Woodward, Corbalis & Goldberg, David was a Senior Attorney for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and the Resolution Trust Corporation, specializing in closed financial institution litigation. David represented the receivers of various closed financial institutions in reorganizations, RICO cases, and complex financial litigation. He supervised private counsel as well. David was a member of FDIC/U.S. Attorney’s Bank Fraud Task Force. David was a member of the FDIC’s Professional Liability Section, prosecuting banking officers and directors for negligence and malfeasance.
Since coming to Spierer, Woodward, Corbalis & Goldberg in 2004, David has represented a diverse array of clients in mediations, arbitrations, and court litigation involving real estate sales, purchases, regulatory matters, and lending. David has also represented clients in construction and commercial business matters including representing contractors, developers, and associated professionals.
David is married with one adult child, and lives in Culver City, California.
